UnitingCare Community Options supports over 3000 older people, people with disabilities, people with mental health issues, families and carers, and other vulnerable and disadvantage people in the eastern region of Melbourne.

Generous Personal Leave
Staff receive generous personal leave at UnitingCare Community Options:
- First year – 12 days
- Second, third and fourth year – 18 days
- Fifth year onwards – 25 days per year
Generous Parental Leave
UnitingCare Community Options employees receive generous parental leave.
Maternity Leave:
- After 12 months of service – 6 weeks
- After 24 months of service – 7 weeks
- After 36 months of service – 8 weeks
Paternity leave:
- After 24 months of service – 2 weeks
- After 36 months of service – 3 weeks
Birthday Leave
Take a break on your birthday! UnitingCare Community Options employees receive an additional day of annual leave on their birthday, complete with 17.5% loading!
Study Leave / Tertiary Assistance
UnitingCare Community Options is passionate about investing into its greatest asset, people. UnitingCare Community Options employees have the opportunity to take paid study leave for approved courses and programs. The option for financial tertiary assistance is also available to staff to apply for.
Wellness Initiatives
UnitingCare Community Options offers 2 wellness programs to all employees. UnitingCare Community Options subsidises the cost of the weekly sessions to support and encourage employees in their overall wellness.
- Fitness Program including boxing, circuit training and other cardio activities facilitated by a qualified personal trainer.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
UnitingCare Community Options has a Employee Assistance Program available to all employees to utilise for personal and work related issues. Employees are entitled to 3 free confidential counselling sessions through our professional service provider.

Exciting Agency Events
UnitingCare Community Options hosts an ‘Agency Day’ twice per year. This is a day hosted off site, is fully catered and is aimed at providing employees with updates from across different organisational divisions to ensure everyone knows where we are headed. These days have a positive, social atmosphere and enable staff to meet others with whom they do not usually have an opportunity to work with.
UnitingCare Community Options Staff host a ‘Staff Conference’ once per year. This is organised by the staff, for the staff. The day is off site, fully catered and complete with guest speakers on hot topics and entertainment to ensure the day is a memorable one. This day also has social atmosphere which many have said feels like a reward for working with UnitingCare Community Options.
Modern Work Environment
Our employees enjoy a modern work environment located in Glen Waverley. Great training facilities with up-to-the-minute technology along with great meeting rooms and a spacious staff lunch room make this an environment everyone can enjoy.
Salary Packaging
All UnitingCare Community Options employees are offered the benefit of salary packaging. This includes $16,050 tax free as well as the options to take up a meals and drinks card. Our provider is Eziway who can provide employees with advice as to how to get the most out of their salary packaging.
Learning and Training Culture
UnitingCare Community Options prides itself on the high calibre learning and training opportunities provided to employees. With options ranging from online e-learning modules, to internal and external group and individual learning, our staff are encouraged to continue learning and developing in their fields.
Leaders in Innovation
UnitingCare Community Options partners with Deakin University to carry out contemporary and innovative research projects to develop service model improvements for the sector. The People at Centre Stage (PaCS) model is just one of our success stories, making a difference to the way participants receive services. We also have a strong history of attracting philanthropic and Government funding to develop and run innovative pilot programs that provide new options for the people we support.
