Direct2Care services

Direct2Care offers a quick and easy way to access information and referrals to a range of services for older people. Our Direct2Care staff are aged-care experts and can give you the help you need. All it takes is a single call.

Getting help through Direct2Care is easy.The Direct2Care service aims to provide a single point of access to information about services for older people. Our staff can answer most questions directly and where they can't, will do the research for you to find the answer you need. Best of all, if follow-up calls are required, they will do the calling.  

To take advantage of the Direct2Care service, all you need to do is call and speak to one of our staff members who will ask you to explain your situation and what you need. The staff member will be able to make suggestions about the type of services that would best suit your situation. If you agree, they’ll then contact that service on your behalf and arrange to have the service put in place. This means that you won't have to explain yourself and your situation several times before getting access to a service.

The types of services that Direct2Care can link you with can include anything from home help or physiotherapy to respite and meals-on-wheels services. Direct2Care does not directly supply any services; instead our staff organise to have services set up on your behalf. Once they've determined which service(s) are appropriate for your situation, they will contact the service, provide the information the service needs and arrange for the service to be established.

Our staff will also follow up to ensure that the service you discussed has been put into place and is meeting the needs that you have.

Direct2Care is funded by the State and Federal governments to make access to information about Aged-Care more accessible.
