At UnitingCare Community Options, we believe that older people and people with disabilities shouldn't need to rely on donations for their day-to-day needs. But that doesn't mean we don't still need your help!
We strongly believe that services for our participants should be fully funded by the State and Federal Governments. And that's why we're active campaigners for reforms that would see the services people need become an entitlement and as such, fully-funded by the community. But financial support from the community still plays a vital role.
WHAT CAN YOUR DONATION ACHIEVE
When you make a donation to UnitingCare Community Options, you can choose to donate to the wider organisation, or to donate to our Realising Dreams Fund. When you donate to the organisation, your contribution helps fund innovation and improvements through infrastructure improvements, research, and new pilot programs where we trial new approaches.
Our Realising Dreams Fund provides grants directly to participants to help fund one-off items and services. It benefits from our existing administrative capacity and as such, all funds donated to the Fund go directly to participants. If it's important to you to ensure that your money goes straight into the hands of those we support, then this is the best option.

DONATING BY CREDIT CARD
If you would like to make a donation by credit card, please follow the link to www.ourcommunity.com.au/ucco. This will take you to an external site that is underwritten by the Westpac Bank of Australia. Any donations made will be made via a secure webpage and you will automatically receive a receipt by email.You can make a donation of any size—all donations over $2 are fully tax deductible. We welcome recurring donations. When making a donation we invite you to choose whether you’d like to donate to the organisation generally, or whether you’d like to support the Realising Dreams grants fund. More details about the grants fund are listed below.
OTHER WAYS OF DONATING
If you would prefer to make a donation by cash or cheque, please download this form. You can then send your donation to us or drop it in directly. Please let us know if you would like a receipt for your donation and we will arrange to send one to you.
FUNDRAISING ON OUR BEHALF
While you may not be able to donate directly, you may have ideas about raising funds on our behalf. This may be through participation in a sporting event such as the Around the Bay in a Day bicycle ride or the Great Melbourne Run. It might also be through a garage sale or a barbeque at a Bunnings store.
Example: Peter, the father of one of our participants recently took part in the annual Around the Bay cycling challenge. He challenged himself to ride the entire distance of 250 km and asked his friends and colleagues to sponsor him. Peter managed to raise over $1300 on behalf of UnitingCare Community Options and the funds he raised will help several other participants through our grants program.
